Officers from Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team secured two partial closure orders in one week as they continue to clamp down on anti-social behaviour in the town.
Last week, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was presented with evidence of anti-social behaviour at two properties, one on Glastonbury Close and one on Baynard Close.
The anti-social behaviour at both properties was not linked and officers carried out two separate investigations.
Both partial closure orders were granted and it now means that no-one other than those authorised on the court order will be allowed to enter or remain at the addresses for the next three months.
If they do, they will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.
The orders were obtained following partnership work with our officers, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, and the relevant housing associations.
Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team Police Sergeant Karla Leese said: "These types of closures are never a step which is taken lightly, and they are never simple.
"Yet in instances like these, we will do all we can to stop anti-social behaviour and the enormous impact it creates.
"We would like to thank the community for their help and patience while we gathered evidence to secure these orders.
"Our officers will continue to do everything they can to help prevent anti-social behaviour in Basingstoke and Deane."
