Four men have been charged in connection with a series of non-dwelling burglaries in which electric bicycles were targeted.
The charges follow an investigation by Winchester CID. They relate to a series of 11 commercial burglaries and thefts that took place between July 15, 2023 and October 25, 2023.
The offences predominantly took place in the Southampton and Winchester districts, but some took place in other areas of the county and outside the county.
On Tuesday 30 April, officers from across the force carried out a series of warrants at addresses in the Southampton area, and made four arrests.
Four men were charged with conspiracy to commit a burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.
They are:
• Martin William Meadows, 32, Roundhill Close, Southampton
• Ryan Edward Meadows, 26, Lower Brownhill Road, Southampton
• Rhys Thornton, 28, Briton Street, Southampton
• Richard Adrian Vincent, 33, Judges Gully Close, Bishopstoke
They appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 May and have been bailed to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday 31 May.
