Man, 20, jailed after officers find sock full of cocaine during proactive stop in Aldershot

A man has been jailed for two years after he was caught with a sock full of cocaine following a proactive stop in Aldershot.

On Friday 12 April, an officer noticed the driver of a white Ford Focus acting suspiciously on Ordnance Road.

The car was stopped and following a search, £450 in cash was located inside. Officers then found a sock containing suspected Class A drugs, which had been hidden in the driver’s underwear.

Adriano Kecani, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property.

He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

Kecani pleaded guilty to the charges and was jailed for two years at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 15 May. 

Trainee Detective Constable Andrew Robinson, from Hart & Rushmoor CID, said: “Kecani was in possession of a large amount of cocaine and cash and I’m pleased to say that the drugs are now off our streets.

“We take drug activity in the district extremely seriously and this sentence means another drug dealer will be locked up for a significant period of time.

“I hope the result highlights that our officers will do everything in their power to ensure Hart and Rushmoor is not targeted by drugs networks.

“Drug supply causes harm and misery to our communities but our officers are determined to keep relentlessly pursuing criminals to reduce the negative impact they have, making it safe for everyone.”
