Officers on patrol in Winchester city centre have arrested a man in connection with the supply of Class A drugs.
The officers were on patrol on Thursday (7 March) afternoon when they noticed some suspicious activity near the entrance to Winnall Moors.
Following a brief foot pursuit, a man was detained.
Wraps of suspected Class A drugs and cash were seized.
The 21-year-old man from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A. He remains in police custody while officers carry out further enquiries.
We will continue our efforts to target those involved in the supply of drugs.
