A 13-year-old boy from Hythe has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, harassment and criminal damage.
The boy was arrested in Hythe shortly before 3pm today (Friday 7 June) and remains in police custody at this time.
The arrest follows reports of a robbery against a 12-year-old boy in Holbury on Wednesday 5 June, criminal damage at a business on High Street, Hythe yesterday (Thursday 6 June), a public order incident in Blackfield on Wednesday 5 June and a further reported incident in Marchwood on Wednesday 1 May.
New Forest Temporary Inspector, Tom Hannam said: “We recognise the impact these types of crimes can have on the local community and business owners.
“As ever, we really appreciate the support and cooperation of our communities and have once again taken swift action by relentlessly pursuing those suspected of causing harm to our communities, and making an arrest.”
