A 41-year-old man from New Milton has been charged with attempt burglary and shoplifting offences.
Ashley Joseph Brown, of Dinham Road, was arrested on Sunday evening (23 June) following an earlier report of burglary at Bradbeers, Station Road, New Milton.
He was subsequently charged with attempt burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
Brown was also charged with shoplifting from Nisa Local, Ashley Road on Monday 17 June, shoplifting from Tesco Old Milton Road on Sunday 23 June and possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 25 June) and was remanded in custody to next appear at the same court again tomorrow (Thursday 27 June).
A 34-year-old man from New Milton, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling, has since been released without charge.
