Officers investigating drugs supply in Southampton have arrested a 28-year-old man from London.
On Tuesday (June 18) police attended an address in the Millbrook area of the city and entered the property under Section 17 of the Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
Once inside, further searches under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and Section 32 of the Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984 were carried out and suspected Class A drugs were located, as well as three mobile phones, drugs paraphernalia, a knife and more than £1,210 in cash.
The 28-year-old man, who was present inside the property at the time of the searches, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He has been released from police custody on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.
The arrest forms part of our wider work to disrupt the supply of drugs in Southampton.
