Southampton man charged with possessing offensive weapon

Officers investigating matters relating to a wanted person in Southampton have charged a man.
The charges come after an offensive weapon was located on Shirley Road at around 5.40pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday 30 June).
Andrew Botting, 46, of St. James Close, Southampton was arrested and charged with possession with an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (1 June).
