A shoplifter has been jailed for 18 weeks after she stole items worth £425 from a store in Aldershot.
Susan Carter, 37, of Sebastopol Road, Aldershot, stole the items from New Look between 12 April and 14 June.
Carter appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday 23 July and pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop.
She was jailed for a total of 18 weeks after a suspended sentence order was activated.
Police Sergeant Rob Tiller, from the Aldershot Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We know the impact Carter’s actions have had on businesses, shop workers and the wider community.
“Our message is clear – shoplifting will not be tolerated in Aldershot. Please continue to report incidents like this to us and we will do all we can to put those responsible before the courts.”
