A Southampton man has been charged in connection with a string of shoplifting and theft incidents in the city.
David Anthony Thorn, 42, of Evenlode Road, has been charged with six counts of theft from a motor vehicle, one count of vehicle interference, two counts of burglary, one count of theft from a shop and one count of common assault.
Thorn was arrested on Friday (July 26) by Southampton’s City Centre Unit in connection with the following incidents:
Thorn appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday 29 July) and has been remanded into custody to next appear on Monday 19 August.
The City Centre Unit continue their proactive patrols, dedicated operations and partnership working across Southampton city centre to tackle crime and ensure a safer city for businesses, staff and members of the public.
