A man has been charged with a cocaine supply offence, following the stop of a vehicle in Basingstoke.
Amdi Derri, of Winchester Road, Basingstoke, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine.
The 20-year-old man has also been charged with a money laundering offence and possessing a false identity document.
It follows the stop of a vehicle in Bounty Road, Basingstoke, at around 1pm on Sunday 30 June. Officers found cash in the car, and a quantity of cocaine and more cash was found following a search of a related address in Basingstoke.
Derri is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 2 July).
A 49-year-old man from London, who had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class A and a money laundering offence, has been released on conditional police bail until Monday 30 September, pending further enquiries.
