Officers investigating a public order incident in Odiham have made their ninth arrest as part of their investigation.
Police were called at 3.15pm on Sunday 8 October to reports of a disturbance involving two groups of people at a site off the A287 Farnham Road, near the Chalky Lane junction.
A man sustained an injury to his head from what we believe to be a strike with a crowbar, while a man at the scene was also reportedly seen with a gun. We believe all the parties involved are known to each other.
Since it was reported to us, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and have now arrested a total of nine men.
A 24-year-old man from Wokingham was yesterday (23 January) arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and violent disorder.
He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
It comes after officers made eight arrests throughout October and November:
Meanwhile, on 5 January, a 30-year-old man from Odiham voluntarily attended a police station and was interviewed under caution in relation to the incident. He remains under investigation.
Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information about what happened to contact us.
In particular, we want to hear from motorists who were driving on the A287 Farnham Road near Odiham at around 3.15pm on Sunday 8 October. You may hold footage that could be important to our investigation.
