A 28-year-old man has been charged with theft and fraud offences following an incident at a Southampton Co-op store.
It was reported to us at 11.15am on Sunday 28 January that several packets of cigarettes had been taken from behind the till at the Mayflower Halls store on West Park Road.
It was also found that a man had been attempting to use a bank card that was suspected stolen in the same store.
Ryan James Harvey, of Landguard Road, has now been charged with theft and fraud by false representation in connection with the incident.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 29 January.)
