A man has been charged with a number of offences after an officer was struck by a car and injured in Aldershot.
On Thursday 25 January, officers stopped a blue Renault car on York Road at around 11.45pm.
An officer was then hit by the vehicle and landed on the road. He suffered minor injuries to his right leg and lower back and attended Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.
Following extensive enquiries, a man was arrested and later charged.
Elidon Zhuka, 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to report an accident, failing to stop a vehicle when directed by PC and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
Zhuka is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (9 February).
