Officers investigating an assault in Basingstoke have charged a man.
We received reports that a man in his 30s had been assaulted outside the Londis store on Alencon Link at around 9.35pm on Monday 12 August.
He was punched several times and was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a broken jaw and a laceration to his head.
Terrance Bolton, 43, of Basingbourne Close, Fleet, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (15 August) and was remanded into custody.
Bolton is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 18 September.
Officers would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
