Officers have arrested a teenage boy in connection with reports of attempted robbery and robbery in Dibden Purlieu.
The boy was detained on Saturday (27 April) on suspicion of five robberies and a public order offence.
He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.
The arrest followed several reported incidents between 3.30pm and 4pm on Tuesday 23 April.
The victims were all aged 16 or under and it’s alleged that threats were made towards them in an attempt to steal property.
Since the incidents, local officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries, as well as providing a significantly increased presence in the area.
Alongside high-visibility patrols, teams have been engaging with schools, teachers, pupils and parents, offering advice and reassurance in the process.
