A man has been charged following a collision in Newport.
We were called at 11.22am yesterday (10 April) to reports of a road traffic collision on the southbound carriageway of Medina Way.
This involved a red Honda Civic, blue BMW X5, black Kia Sorrento, and grey Nissan Qashqai. Minor injuries were reported.
The Honda Civic had been reported stolen earlier that day, between 7.30am and 11am, from the car park of Lushington Garden Centre.
George James Swain, 25, of Mary Rose Avenue in Wootton Bridge, Ryde, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.
He will appear at Newport Magistrates Court today (11 April).
We would still like to speak to any witnesses of this collision, and anyone with relevant dash cam footage, who have not already spoken to us.
We would particularly like to speak to anyone who saw any of the vehicles travelling on Fairlee Road, Coppins Bridge or Medina Way prior to the collision.
If you have any information relevant to our investigation, please call 101 quoting reference 44240149819 or report online via our website.
