Officers investigating a report of robbery in Aldershot have charged a man.
We were called on Monday 6 November last year to a report that a man in his 40s was assaulted on Andover Way.
It was reported that the man was kicked, punched and lost his phone during the incident.
Officers carried out a number of enquiries and have now charged a man.
Jermaine Rusike, 19, of Chaucer Road, Farnborough, has been charged with assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, attempted robbery and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 3 April) and was remanded into custody.
Rusike is next due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 1 May.
