Following a fatal collision on the Isle of Wight, the family of a motorcyclist who died has paid tribute to him.
Police were called at 3.23pm on Wednesday 16 August to reports of a single vehicle collision on Military Road near to Whale Chine.
A blue Honda motorcycle left the carriageway and came to rest in a roadside ditch. The motorcyclist, 70-year-old Robert Forman from Carisbrooke, suffered serious injuries and sadly died.
His family are being supported by specialist officers and have now decided to release the following statement:
"My husband Robert Ian Forman, fondly known as Ian, was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed."
