Officers investigating a report of assault in Aldershot have arrested a teenage boy.
At 9.26pm on Friday 1 September, officers received a report that a man in his 30s had been assaulted by a group of young males on North Close.
The victim was taken to hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.
Since the incident was reported to us, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries, and have made an arrest.
A 17-year-old boy, from Ash, has been arrested on suspicion of racially/religiously aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
He has been bailed with conditions until 15 December.
Our enquiries are ongoing.
