Man, 26, arrested on suspicion of shoplifting offences in Basingstoke

Officers investigating a number of shoplifting offences in Basingstoke have arrested a man.
A 26-year-old man, from Basingstoke, has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop x 7, common assault and going equipped for theft.
It comes after officers received reports of theft at various shops in the town between 30 July and 16 September.
The man has been bailed with conditions until 4 October while our enquiries continue.
