We have charged a 29-year-old woman in connection with a string of shoplifting offences in Shirley, Southampton.
Alanna Broomfield, of Ancasta Road has been charged with four counts of theft from a shop, common assault and four counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order.
The charges are in connection with the following incidents:
• Meat products to the value of £194 was taken from the Co-op store on Shirley Road on 19 May. The products were recovered by a member of staff.
• On Wednesday 5 July meat and cheese were taken from the One Stop store on Park Road, as well as chocolate worth £293. A member of staff was assaulted in the process, sustaining minor injuries.
• On Wednesday 19 July meat to the value of £68.20 was taken from the One Stop store on Park Road.
• Various meat, cheese and confectionary items were taken from the One Stop on Park Road on 9 August.
Broomfield will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on March 7 2024.
