At approximately 8.20pm last night (Sunday 8 October), armed response officers were called to a report of a group in possession of a suspected offensive weapon in War Memorial Car Park, Salisbury Road, Totton.
Upon arrival, officers located and seized a BB gun. Following subsequent searches of those present, one 17-year-old boy, from Totton, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place.
Another 17-year-old boy, also from Totton, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Cannabis, drug paraphernalia, cash and a mobile phone were also seized by the attending officers.
Both boys remain in police custody at this time and the investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
