Two people have been arrested and a large quantity of Class A drugs and cash have been seized by officers in Southampton.
Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 24 October) shortly after 2pm patrolling officers noticed suspected drug related activity on St James Road.
A 37-year-old man from Southampton was detained and searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Suspected Class A drugs and cash were found.
An address connected to the man was searched under Section 18 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
More than £15,000 in cash was seized from the address, as well as a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs and a significant quantity of products suspected to have been stolen.
The 37-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman present at the address, also from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and handling stolen goods.
They remain in police custody at the current time and our enquiries are ongoing.
