Yesterday morning (Wednesday 29 November), officers executed two warrants at addresses in Efford Way, Pennington and a location in Vaggs Lane, Hordle.

The operation was in connection with reported residential burglaries in Lymington, Pennington and Milford on Sea, between July and November.

Officers arrested two people at the Efford Way address.

A 52-year-old man from Totton was arrested on suspicion of four burglaries – one reported in Pennington on Sunday 2 July, two reported in Lymington on Friday 17 November and one reported in Lymington on Saturday 18 November.

He was also arrested on suspicion of an attempt burglary, reported in Milford on Sea on Monday 20 November. He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

A 53-year-old woman from Pennington was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit burglary. She has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

At another address in Totton, a 45-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of two burglaries – one reported in Pennington on Sunday 2 July and another reported in Milford on Sea on Friday 18 August.

He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

Reflecting on the warrants, New Forest Inspector and Business Crime Lead, Darren Ord, said: “Officers continue to tackle those suspected of committing burglaries across the New Forest, but can only do so with the support and information from our communities.

"As our extra eyes and ears on the ground, please continue to let us know about suspicious activity in the area in which you live.

"The more information you share with us, the more we can develop this, and the more action we can take, including the execution of warrants and the targeting of criminals causing the most harm to our communities."

Anyone who has any information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood can contact us on 101, or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, always calling 999 in an emergency.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
