A Southampton man has been charged with weapons and traffic offences after being stopped by police on Saturday night (25 November).
Shortly before 8pm officers patrolling in an unmarked car spotted a vehicle driving erratically on Northam Road.
The vehicle was stopped a short time later on Bitterne Road West, a knife and air pistol were located and the driver was arrested.
Liam Bull, 26, of Howard Close, has now been charged with possession of a firearm in a public place, possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 27 November).
