Man, 35, charged with five shopliftings from Swan Centre, Eastleigh

A 35-year-old man from Southampton has been charged with five shopliftings from Tesco, Swan Centre, Eastleigh.

Samuel Griffiths, of Cotswold Road, Southampton was arrested at the centre shortly after 2pm yesterday (Monday 27 November).

He has since been released on conditional bail, to next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 14 December.

The incidents were reported to police throughout November. The charges are as follows;

- Charged with the theft of £180 worth of alcohol from Tesco, Swan Centre, reported on Wednesday 8 November.

- Charged with the theft of £177.25 worth of alcohol from Tesco, Swan Centre, reported on Tuesday 21 November.

- Charged with the theft of £188.75 worth of alcohol from Tesco, Swan Centre, reported on Thursday 23 November.

- Charged with the theft of £153.25 worth of alcohol from Tesco, Swan Centre, reported on Friday 24 November.

- Charged with the theft of £184.50 worth of alcohol from Tesco, Swan Centre, reported on Monday 27 November.
