A man has been jailed for more than three years for burglary.
Joby James Cooper, 31, from Southampton, was sentenced on Tuesday 23 May at Southampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to one count of burglary.
At around 4.10am on Thursday 1 December 2022, a property on Dale Valley Road in Southampton was broken into after two men accessed the property; having stolen a set of house keys from a key safe located in the garden.
The two men came back a short while later – via the front door using the stolen keys - and completed an untidy search of the property. They stole a number of items - including several high value watches, an iPad and a quantity of cash - from multiple rooms within the house before fleeing the scene.
Officers carried out numerous enquiries and identified Cooper as being responsible; he was subsequently arrested and charged for one count of burglary.
Joby James Cooper was sentenced to three years and two months.
