A man has been charged with a number of offences after a young woman and two police officers were assaulted and a man was racially abused at the Travelodge hotel in Aldershot.
Steven Spiers, 20, of Alexandra Road, Aldershot, has been charged with assault by beating and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He was also charged with racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress and using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress.
It comes after officers received a report that a man was threatened with violence and racially abused at the hotel on Alexandra Road between 11.15pm on 11 December and 00.45am on 12 December.
A woman in her 20s and two police officers were assaulted during the incident.
Spiers is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (13 December).
