Officers investigating a serious assault in Basingstoke have arrested a third man.
We were called just after 1am on Tuesday 18 July by the ambulance service following a report of a stabbing in Queen Mary Avenue, Basingstoke.
A man in his 20s suffered multiple stab wounds to his legs and was taken to hospital.
Today, 19 July, a 54-year-old man from Basingstoke was arested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He remains in custody at this time.
The 26-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, both from Basingstoke, who were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent also remain in custody.
