Officers from Aldershot Neighbourhood Policing team continue to investigate several theft from motor vehicle reports that we have received recently.
If you have been affected we urge you to report it to us by calling 101 or via our website at https://www.hampshire.police.uk/. Every piece of information received helps us build up a better intelligence picture and know where to target our resources.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to make sure you remove valuables from your vehicle and lock it.
We know people don’t deliberately leave cars unlocked which is why it’s important to make sure to physically check that doors and window are locked, especially if you have used the remote to lock the vehicle.
Then look inside again to make sure you’ve not left anything. Thieves aren’t picky so don’t leave even low-value items in your car. Often thieves will smash and grab first and look later to see if what they’ve stolen is valuable.
