Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of pedal bikes in Southampton.
We were called at 2.26am today (1 March) to a block of flats in East Street, following a report that two pedal bikes had been stolen from a balcony using a large ladder.
Officers attended and made two arrests within the hour, one in Bernard Street and another in Eastgate Street.
The bikes were recovered and were returned to their owner.
A 26-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of theft of a pedal cycle and going equipped for theft.
An 18-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of theft of a pedal cycle, going equipped for theft and possession of a class B drug.
Both remain in custody at this time while enquiries continue.
