A man who breached his criminal behaviour order has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison.
Daniel Jankovic, 25, of no fixed abode was sentenced to eight weeks in jail after admitting breaching his criminal behaviour order (CBO), shoplifting and possessing Class B drugs.
The court heard that at around 4.55pm on Thursday, 9 February, two PCSOs from Farnborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team saw Jankovic running away from JD Sports in The Meads, Farnborough carrying a blue tracksuit suspected to have been stolen.
Jankovic was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and during a search, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
Officers subsequently charged Jankovic with shoplifting and possession of Class B drugs.
On 15th February, officers patrolling Aldershot town centre saw Jankovic in Victoria Road which was in breach of his criminal behaviour order that was issued in July 2022, banning him from entering Aldershot for 24 months.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 16 February, Jankovic was sentenced to eight weeks in jail after pleading guilty to breaching his criminal behaviour order, shoplifting and possession of Class B drugs.
Jankovic will remain subject of the Criminal Behaviour Order upon his release from prison, excluding him from entering areas of Aldershot, Farnham, Ash Vale and Ash Wharf.
