We are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Ashley Road, New Milton at 2.10pm on Sunday 3 December.
During the incident, a group of men and women were out walking a dog when they were threatened by a man who was driving a black Volkswagen Golf.
At one point, while walking along Ashley Road, the unknown man is reported to have parked a short distance in front of the group, retrieved a torque wrench from the boot of his vehicle and then started threatening one of the men with it.
The suspect was also said to be shouting, swearing and making verbal threats towards the victim.
Thankfully, the victim and other members of the group, were unharmed.
The suspect is described as;
- White
- Aged in his mid-20s
- Pale complexion
- Short, fair in colour, chinstrap-style facial hair
- Skinny build
- 6ft 1ins tall
- Wearing a black baseball cap, black tracksuit top and black bottoms
We believe this to be an isolated incident, which followed an earlier encounter between the suspect and the group. As such, we don’t believe there to be any wider concerns for, or threat to the community.
