Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after officers executed a proactive warrant in Oakley today (8 December).
This morning, officers from the Basingstoke District Policing Team executed a warrant at an address on Chestnuts Close.
Inside the property, they found suspected Class A drugs, drugs paraphernalia, cash and weapons.
A 41-year-old man from Reading, a 30-year-old man from Reading and a 30-year-old woman from Oakley were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
They remain in custody and our enquiries are ongoing.
Northern DPT Inspector Marcus Morley said: “Drug-related activity in the Basingstoke area will not be tolerated.
“Warrants, such as the one the team carried out today, are just one of the ways our officers can tackle the problem.
“But in order for us to carry out proactive warrants, we rely on information from the local community.
“It is vital that the public continues to let us know of any drug-related activity they suspect to be taking place in the area.
“This way, our teams can allocate our resources to effectively and robustly deal with it.”
If you witness any suspected illegal activity where you live, please report this to us by calling 101, visiting the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously and in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
