We have charged a man following two house burglaries in Southampton and Hedge End last week.
On Tuesday 28 November sometime between 8.45am and 2.45pm entry was gained to a house on Downscroft Gardens in Hedge End and five rings were taken, as well as £270 in cash. The occupant of the address was not at home at the time of the incident.
Sometime between 10.30am and 1.10pm on Thursday 30 November entry was forced to an address on Brownlow Avenue in Southampton while the occupants were out and jewellery was taken.
Officers investigating these incidents have now charged 27-year-old Macauley Bowers of Westridge Road with two counts of dwelling burglary. He has been remanded into custody and is next due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday 5 January.
