Karl Jennings, 36, of Grosvenor Road, Aldershot, admitted seven counts of theft from a shop.
He stole gift sets, perfume and food worth £249.50 from Boots and Iceland in Aldershot between 21 November and 3 December.
Jennings was jailed for a total of 14 weeks when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 20 December.
Police Sergeant Rob Tiller, from the Aldershot Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I hope this result highlights our ongoing determination and commitment to keep tackling shoplifting in Aldershot.
“We know the significant impact this type of crime has on businesses and the wider community, and we will continue to be extremely focused in our efforts to tackle it.
“Our response will continue to create a hostile environment for those seeking to offend and we are committed to relentlessly pursuing those who carry on doing so.”
