A man has been charged in connection with a business burglary in Gosport.
Police were called at 3.10am this morning (31 August) with reports of a break-in in progress at Lalys Pharmacy in Privett Road.
Officers attended and stopped a man on a pushbike, before seizing a large quantity of perfumes and a hammer. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with offences.
Kevin Barry Wilcox, aged 53, of Skipper Way in Lee-on-the-Solent, appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court this afternoon to face the charges of burglary and going equipped for theft.
He was bailed with conditions by Magistrates, and will appear at the same court again on 11 October.
