We have now charged a man after he was found to be in possession of a knife in the Millbrook area of Southampton.
This comes after patrolling officers spotted a man on an e-scooter acting in a suspicious manner on Paignton Road.
Following a short pursuit, the man was found to have been in possession of a knife and was arrested.
Brandon Donovan, 26, of no fixed abode, has now been charged with possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a license and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 12 September.
