Officers investigating a burglary in Totton have since charged a man in connection with the incident.
The charges come after a property on Amey Gardens is reported to have been broken into between 2.40pm and 3.35pm on Monday 21 August and jewellery missing from the address.
Peter Brian Goodchild, 46, of Cuckmere Lane, Southampton has been charged with burglary dwelling. He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday, August 28) where he was further remanded in custody. Goodchild will next appear at Southampton Crown Court on 29 September.
A 43-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been released on condition bail until 26 October.
