A man has appeared in court charged with possessing a knife in a public place following an incident in Hartley Wintney.
Officers were called at 6.36pm on Thursday 3 August to a report that a man was seen with a suspected knife near Weatherby Gardens.
The man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with a number of offences.
Andrew Brothers, 24, from Dilly Lane, Hartley Wintney, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Wednesday 9 August and has been remanded in custody.
He was charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, common assault of an emergency worker and using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Brothers was also charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Wednesday 11 October.
