We would like to provide an update into the investigation of an attempted murder in Coleman Street, Southampton, around 1pm on Friday (18 November).
Three men, aged 18, 19 and 21, from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
They have now been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
The injured man, aged 19, has since left hospital in a stable condition.
Supt Phil Lamb said: “I would like to reassure you that we continue to dedicate a significant amount of resources into investigating this incident and bringing those involved to justice.
“The three arrested men have strict conditions put in place which if breached would result in them committing another offence and being brought back in to police custody.
“You will continue to see officers on patrol in St Mary’s and if you have any concerns or can help the investigation, I would ask you speak to them. You can also call us on 101 or report information to us on our website.”
