A man has been charged with burglary and drug offences in Southampton.
On 16 November, officers arrested a man in connection with multiple offences, including an incident on 3 September, where a launderette in Shirley Road and a vending machine inside were broken into and £60 was stolen, with £300 damage to broken locks.
Joseph Horgan, 40, from Howard Road, Southampton, has been charged with:
-Burglary other than dwelling – theft
-Two counts of theft from a shop
-Assault by beating
-Possession of a Class A drug – crack cocaine
-Possession of a Class A drug – heroin
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on 30 November.
The investigation has been led by Operation Hawk, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary's dedicated team for burglary.
