Man charged with raping a woman in Gosport

A man has been charged with raping a woman known to him in Gosport.
This follows an incident in the Grange Road area on 18 October this year.
Matthew Jackson, aged 18 and from Orchard Grove in Waterlooville, has been charged with rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 29 November).
At the hearing, he was bailed with conditions to appear at the Crown Court on 3 January 2023.
