Officers investigating a series of business burglaries in the New Milton area have arrested two people in connection with one of the incidents.
It comes after a business premises on Queensway Industrial Estate was reportedly broken into in the early hours of Tuesday 15 November.
£160 in cash was taken from the premises after entry had been gained via the front door – which had been damaged after having an object thrown through the glass window.
Enquiries led officers to an address in Marryat Road, where they conducted a Section 32 search of the property – detaining two individuals in the process.
A mobile device was seized for evidential purposes.
A 38-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, both from New Milton, were arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
They both remain in custody.
Enquiries remain ongoing in relation to other reported break-ins in the New Milton area which occurred between Saturday 14 November and Tuesday 15 November.
