A boy has been arrested for the theft of a motorcycle in Southampton yesterday (10 May).
While out on patrol looking for stolen motorbikes, officers from the Southampton West Neighbourhoods Policing Team discovered a recently used motorcycle with a missing number plate in Bransbury Close.
Shortly afterwards, at 5.11pm, a 17-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
A search was carried out of his home address and items seized included mobile phones, weighing scales and a box containing a white powder.
Today he was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled Class A drug.
He was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
The motorbike’s owner was contacted and will be reunited with his property.
