Officers on proactive patrols in Chandler’s Ford have arrested a teenager on suspicion of criminal damage and drug offences.
It comes after officers spotted a teenage boy at the corner of School Lane and Station Road in Chandler’s Ford just before 3am this morning (24 March) who then tried to flee from police.
He was detained by officers and searched; with a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, a quantity of Class C drugs as well as cans of spray paint being seized as a result.
A 17-year-old boy from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage, going equipped to damage property, possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class C drug.
He was released from custody and is due to voluntarily attended an interview under caution at a police custody suite at a later date.
