Officers have arrested two men on drug supply offences after a rucksack containing quantities of cash and drugs were located in a Calmore skate park.
It comes after officers were on routine patrols in the Ashurst Bridge Road area at around 5.20pm yesterday evening (16 June) engaging with a group of young people at a local skate park.
A man approached the officers and placed a small bag amongst a number of rucksacks that were on the ground in the vicinity of the group.
Officers then spoke to the man and detained him for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A quantity of cash and Class B drugs and other drug-related paraphernalia were located and seized.
A subsequent search of an address on Calmore Road located further quantities of Class B drugs along with other related paraphernalia.
A 52-year-old man and 19-year-old man, both from Calmore, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
They both remain in custody at this time.
