A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences after a proactive stop search in Eastleigh yesterday afternoon (15 June).
It comes after officers on patrol on Twyford Road in Eastleigh witnessed a silver Volkswagen Jetta acting suspiciously before it parked up at a petrol station forecourt on the same road.
Officers stopped the driver and conducted a search of the vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A quantity of cash was located within the vehicle along with suspected Class A drugs. These were seized as a result, along with the vehicle.
The 26-year-old man from Middlesex was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He was later released on conditional bail until Wednesday 13 July.
