Officers investigating a robbery at a supermarket in Hythe have charged three people in connection with the incident.
It comes after a member of staff at Tesco Express on Langdown Lawn in Hythe was threatened at around 10.25pm on Sunday 10 July, before a robbery took place – with quantities of cash and cigarettes removed from the premises.
Shaun Havard, aged 35, of no fixed abode has been charged with robbery and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place. He has been remanded until Friday 12 August.
Paul Hughes, aged 41, of Golden Grove in Southampton and Catherine Goodwin, aged 45, of Maritime Avenue in Marchwood have both been charged with robbery. They have both been released on conditional bail.
All three people will next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday 12 August.
Previously, a 60-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
